Montebrujas Káva Coffee

Coffee arrived in Colombia passing through the area of Santander. There is evidence of the first cultivations in the region Girón, dating back around 1787. In 1830 there was the first big cultivation of coffee in Cúcuta, North of Santander and from this point the first exportation of Colombian coffee took place. Later on, the cultivation expanded to the rest of the country.

The farm “La Cabaña” is located in the municipality of Palmas del Socorro in the province of Santander, which is mainly characterized for the wild mountains of the Oriental Cordillera. It was part of a big Hacienda known as "La Despensa", named after the wide variety of existing cultivations, among them also coffee. There we find the Montebrujas creek, which owes its name to stories of ancient inhabitants and the presence of fantasy creatures, extraordinary happenings and magic events happened in this creek and its surrounding forests.

The taste and scent of Montebrujas Káva, which is grown on mountains filled with tales and legends, is immersed into a magical world of women (witches or fairies) and fantastic creatures, whose power, wisdom and knowledge cast a magical coffee beverage that spell-binds your senses.
